A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER

Gedy and I had a wonderful Christmas and even though we got so many awesome gifts (too many) it was just being with our family that made it such a wonderful day. We went to visit my Mom for awhile and then we went to see Stace, Brian, Christy, Cindy, Brendan, Samantha, Delaney, and lil Natalie. We had so much fun watching the kids play with all their christmas gifts, it was a really Great! Here are some of our Christmas photos. Brendan opening his digital camera, that boy made out like a bandit.
Samantha and Delaney playing Barbie's together.

Papa and Natalie. Natalie was just trying to figure out what the heck was going on.

Then last night Brendan slept over G-ma and Papa's house where he and I made Brownies and he always has to lick the spoon. Isn't that the best part?

Grandma and Brendan showing off our new cell phones that we got for christmas, I can't tell you how many times the two of us have text msg each other, thank goodness we both have unlimited texting..lol..

And under the tree are all my christmas gifts, I also made out like a bandit.
Gedy also got alot of nice gifts too.

I think right now we are all so tired from working, shopping and cooking and are just trying to relax a bit. I had wed & today off from work and really do not feel like I got enough rest but its back to work for me on fri, sat, & sun. I do have monday off (which is unusal but I'll take it) but I am working on New Years day and I can't remember what my schedule was after that. My hours should go back down to 12 to 16 a week now, at least for the month of January....whew!! working 6 days a week was getting ugly but its all part of the Holiday process for me. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

WINTER WONDERLAND (part two)

The snow is back. I woke up this morning and it sounded real windy outside so I took a look out of the window and seen that it was snowing again, so of course I couldn't go back to sleep. I have to be in work at 1pm and I can't wait to go out there and drive in it.
This photo was just taken at 8am and if you look in the center of it you can see a little bobcat out there plowing the snow out of the parking lot.

I'm not sure how much snow we are expected to get but its suppose to be a mix of snow & rain by this afternoon and into tonight but I hope its alot. This makes working 6 days a week worth it, hahahahaha.

weather update.....the snow has changed to freezing rain and so far we have 7 inches of new snow.

WINTER WONDERLAND

Let it snow! let it snow! let it snow! I was so excited last night when I got out of work and seen the SNOW,wow! I'm not sure exactly how much (or little) we got, maybe 8 to 10 inches. I would have loved a few feet but I'll take what we got because I hear there is more snow on the way for saturday yaaaaay! Anyone who knows me well knows that I live for the winter, for the snow, coooold, slush, and the ice., I just can't get enought of it. Anyway, the first 4 photos are from last night when I got out of work and the last 3 photos are from 6:30 am this morning. Did I mention that I Love driving in the snow? last night when I left work and the roads were just about abandoned, I drove from the s&s in weymouth to the s&s in Braintree to pick up some cream for stacey's morning coffee and then drove to her house to bring it to her, Gedy said....you did what!!! then he said yeah, I'm not surprised. Poor Gedy left for work yesterday at 2 pm and didn't get to work until 7 pm last night. Enjoy the photos......the 1st one is when I came out of the store after work. when I got to my car, you actually couldn't see my car this is after I took some snow off of it.
This is what the s&s parking lot looked like when I left work last night.

This is one of the many christmas trees in Gaslight, they are so beautiful at night when they are all lit up.

These next 3 photos are from this morning, I went out on my patio and took them. I can here all of the workers coming around now with the snow blowers and the little bobcats, its so awesome!

This tree is outside our bedroom window.

This just in:...Weymouth got a foot of snow and they are expecting us to get another 6 inches of snow on Sunday....yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Oh, and I am so stoked because we are going out in the snow today to go get a christmas tree and I'm sure the tree lot is covered in snow, this should be lots of fun!

A GREAT PERFORMANCE!

Brendan was in a christmas musical in school this morning and not only did I get there early to get front row seat, which was a good thing that I did because there wasn't an empty seat to be seen anywhere, or a spot to stand in either, it was packed to the limit. I also managed to get lots of photos too, A Grandma can never be too proud. the show was from the 4th and 5th grade children and they did an awesome job, I really enjoyed the show which lasted about an hour. Here is one of the many videos that I took so you can check it out for yourself, Brendan of course is standing in the middle of the 1st row, Can you believe that he will be 10yrs old soon? or as he says....double digits....wow!

FUNNY AND PAINFUL

This is whats funny.........My reindeer rocking in a chair and singing (Grandma got run over by a Reindeer) Below is a video of the reindeer rocking and singing. I think the thing I like most about it is the fact that it says (Grandma) on the top of the rocking chair although I still say its not right that Grandma got run over.

Whats painful......is the fact that I burned my finger on the steaming hot glue gun in work today decorating wreaths. I guess thats what I get for being a smart ass earlier today when I sent Diane an email before I went to work telling her that I had to decorate wreaths all day so that means that I will burn one of my fingers. Its not that I actually wanted to burn my finger its just something that I do every year and just can't seem to avoid it, its really starting to piss me off and you would think that after doing this for 10 years straight that I'd be a little more careful. However today I have to say is the worse burn that I've had yet. I was also joking with my boss about burning myself when I first plugged the glue gun in and of course the two of us were laughing about it. You can bet your sweet maracas that this is the last time I'll be cracking jokes about that so hopefully next year I will manage to go without burning any fingers for the first time in 10 years, the glue is actually still stuck on my finger and then a blister formed under the glue, what a mess.... What an idiot!!!!

On a funnier note, here is a video of my singing reindeer, maybe he should be singing......Grandma got run over by a glue gun........

DECK THE HALLS!

Here are a few photos of my Christmas decorations, I have plenty more but would never be able to post them all by christmas so I will just show you my favorites for now. This 1st photo is my favorite, the Girls went to the mall to have their pic taken with santa just for me and believe me I know it wasn't an easy task for them to do however, Stace & I have been going to see this same santa every christmas since Brendan was born and I swear this is the first time I have seen this cranky old man smile. Thank you Girls! Santa thanks you too!....I so love the photo.
This is a serving tray in my kitchen.
This is on the inside on my front door.

This is on the door to the spare room.

This blanket is on the back of my sofa.

Whoa! This huge cardboard santa is standing in the corner of the living room. I got it from S&S a few years ago after christmas. It was to display coke, he looks better in my apt.hehehehe.

This is a my door mat.

This is a photo of my living room, well one side of it anyway.

This santa is on my the outside of my front door.

Well thats it and now I have to get ready for work, Christy if you read this blog I will make your sleigh arrangement sometime this week, I'm waiting until we get fresh christmas greens in so I will let you know. Stace, I know you want a long & low...right?(with candles). And Robin if you come back to Boston I will make one for you too. Thank you girls for the Photo! Love you so much!

AN UPDATE ON DELANEY

Stacey just called me to tell me that Delaney is out of surgery and in the recovery room however, things were a little worse than expected. Her tonsils were so large that they were almost at the point of obstructing her airway. Her adenoids grew back and had to be removed again and she also had a hole in her eardrum so the Dr had to take fat from behind her ear to fix the hole,WHEW! that poor girl. We are not sure if she will be coming home today, they may keep her until tomorrow. Brian said that she was starting to wake up alittle and was really aggravated. Please keep Delaney in your prayers. I am going to Stacey's for the day but will let you know how Delaney is feeling later. I am updating this information for stacey who will not be able to blog for awhile.

MY HEART ACHES

tomorrow morning Delaney has to go to the hospital to have her tonsils taken out and I just can't stop thinking about my lil sweetie. I feel like I have a huge knot in my stomach and just know that I am not going to sleep well at all. For those of you who had your tonsils taken out and can remember, know that its not an easy thing to go through and can be very painful. So please say a prayer for Delaney and hope she gets well real soon. I went over to visit her tonight after work and we played and chatted for awhile. She knows that she is going to the hospital to have her tonsils out but she really doesn't understand the just of it. I promised her that when she felt better she can sleep over my house and we will make x-mas ornaments for her x-mas tree, that put a big smile on her face. Tomorrow Ged & I will take Natalie for the day so they can give all their attention to Delaney, don't you worry Papa & I will give lil miss Natalie more attention that she can handle, we are real good at that however, Natalie being the most hyper one of the bunch I'm sure that Ged & I will be snoring by 8pm but its all good and worth it. Here is one of my favorite photos of Delaney, I hope she has that smile back on her face real soon.

Delaney, Grandma & Papa love you so much and hope you get well real soon. Muah!

LIGHT UP THE VILLAGE

This morning started off so nice and it was just what I have been waiting for, the landscapers were here to put up all of the christmas trees and then put the lights on all of the trees around Gaslight, I love watching them do that. So all day in work I was thinking about how I just wanted to come home and see the complex all lit up, and that it was! As I turned in to Gaslight all I could see were trees all lit up going all the way down to the back, it was breathtaking as always. Here are a few photos for you .....the 1st photo is of the x-mas trees that the workers put up. This photo is the huge tree right outside of my bedroom window. I took that photo tonight when I got home.
This is all of the trees lit up going all the way down the back, this is what it looks like when you come in the village at night, (actually it looks better that in the photo).

This, well I actually stood under the huge tree and took this photo, so this is what it looks like when you stand under a x-mas tree (which only I would do).

This is a photo of my patio, well from the side anyway. I have a reindeer standing on a table which you are unable to see because of the angle.

Hopefully, I will be able to get a better photo of my patio, I was just so excited when I came home and seen the place all lit up that I didn't think to focus and just started taking photos. This weekend I am going to put up the rest of my x-mas decorations in my apt so "brace yourself" because I'm sure by sunday night " SANTA " will be all over my blog, I bet you just can't wait for that huh Robin???? HaHa.

I LOVE MY JOB!!!
