Dinner, Lots of Love, and some fantastic news!

Last night Gedy and I went to Christy and Cindy's for dinner. I almost cancelled because I have a real nasty head cold and was feeling so lousy, but thru-out the day christy's text msgs were encouraging me to go so by 5:30pm last night I decided as I was about to cancel to just go out the door and we would only stay for an hour or so and then I could come home and lay down again. I am sooooooooooo happy that we went because it turned out to be a wonderful evening that we will soon "not" forget. Here are some photos of our night. The 1st photo is Gedy getting some doggie lovin... Here is Cindy making a home made chicken stew for me because of my cold, that was not in the plans but turned out to be a great surprise. thank you Cindy it was so delicious! and that was so thoughtful of you, hugs and kisses to you.
Here is a photo of Gedy and christy just being silly.

Jolie taking a rest from all of the excitement, isn't she just so cute?

Dinner time. Gedy made a potted beef with mashed potatos and corn, as you can see I did not feel like much like eating at the time but when we got home I ate cindy's chicken stew.

It was a fantastic night and we all had a great time and as soon as I feel better, I am going back to visit again.
And now to find out what the FANTASTIC NEWS is................go onto..

SOME REAL FAMILY FUN....

On Friday Gedy and I went to Dorchester again but this time we had no kids with us because they all were in school and Natalie was taking a nap. We went to st Joseph's nursing home to visit my aunt Rose (my mom's sister) and then from there we went to get ...yep... some Lithuanian bread. After that we went to visit my mom for awhile. Then we stopped to get Hamburg and salad for dinner and went to Stacey's where gedy cooked dinner for the family, the kids love cheeseburgers well, except for Natalie who cannot eat anything that comes from a cow. Here are some photos of our day. Gedy cooking dinner ( He loves to cook) and thats fine with me because I don't.
While gedy was cooking dinner I was having a blast playing a game of hide-in-seek with the girls. Heres Natalie showing me where sam & Dee were hiding, she loves to rat them out.

I stuck my camera under Delaney's bed snapped the button and this is the photo that I got, too funny huh?

Then it was dinner time so we stopped playing for awhile while we all ate.

Then at last.........Delaney gave Papa a hair cut.....with the help of stacey of course. Stacey has become his new barber...

So here is the end of a great day. Gedy is on vacation this week but of course I am not (not this close to valentine's day) it would never happen.

ITS YOU GRANDMA!

Here is a drawing that Delaney made for me in school yesterday. When she came home she said........Grandma, I have something that I made for you today and its in my backpack. I said ...wow, thats nice who is it? and she said.......its you Grandma! I asked her what was on my hands and she said.......silly Grandma, those are your mittens. I have to tell ya that I don't recall ever wearing mittens, or gloves heck, anyone who knows me knows that a zippered sweatshirt is all I wear all winter long yes, even if its 10 degrees outside, I love the cold remember? But I love the drawing and of course it is now on my fridge.

AN AFTERNOON WITH THE GRAND-GIRLS

On friday afternoon Gedy and I went out to do a few things and stopped by stacey's to take Natalie for the ride with us. Here are some photos of our afternoon with the girls, we had a great time as always. We took Natalie for a ride to Dorchester to get some Lithuanian bread, Mmmmmmm, it is so good.
Then we had an appt with Quirk-Kia to get the batteries replaced in the truck remotes, Natalie had a blast as you can see.

Then we went to Braintree to pick Delaney up at school, we promised her that we would pick her up and Samantha wanted to come along with us, by now its 4pm.

Samantha was sad because everytime she went to tell us a story Delaney would cut her off and make up her own story like ( grandma & papa, do you remember the time we were at the beach and I got a frog stuck in my nose) Whaaaaat??? Delaney does not like sharing her grandma & papa with anyone, poor Sam.

Then Delaney wanted to go in the grocery store to get marshmallows to toast over the fire for when they got home. So Delaney and Samantha wanted to go into the store with Gedy and I said I would stay in the truck with Natalie.

Then as soon as they got out of the truck I heard Natalie crying, I turned around and this is what I seen....poor baby was crying for her Papa, she just kept saying.....PAPA..PAPA..PAPA.....it was so sad but I'll tell ya these girls sure love their papa and for a few minutes I was so jealous!

Besides Delaney's storie's being so funny but made up of course because she just had to be one up on Sam, Samantha herself had her a funny moment in the store.. Gedy said just as he went to pay for the marshmallows and chocolate bars (Delaney is a chocolate lover) he went thru the self serve register and when he got done Sam looked at him so seriously and said.....GOOD JOB PAPA!!!

A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT!!!

There is nothing more beautiful than fresh fallen snow glistening on the trees, its so breathtaking! We had another snow storm today and you know I was in my glory! I'm don't know exactly how many inches we got ( I think maybe 7) but I'm just soooooo glad that we got it, I love snow and just can't seem to get enough of it. Here are some photos that I have taken thru-out the day today, I hope you enjoy them.

I really like this one because there is a christmas tree in there all lit up, they still have all the trees going down to the back of the complex all lit-up at night and its so pretty especially at night and covered in snow.

I am all excited because I hear there is another storm on the way for Friday but its still too early to call so we'll see. I am going to keep my fingers crossed that its a huge snow storm...lol.

GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!!

Brendan come over last night to watch the Football game with Papa and as you can see they are totally enjoying watching the game while eating ice cream, and chips and dip. I'll spare you the details on the burping and farting that went on also. As Brendan mildly put it...Grandma, you are in man country. Papa also introduced him to the three stooges about 10am this morning, I think he was hooked instantly the minute he seen "curley" so this went on for about 40 minutes before they started watching "home alone 2". Then Papa and I began getting ready to go to work, I had to leave at 12:30 so I left Brendan to watch Papa until they left the house at 1:30, hopefully they stayed out of trouble. However, the place was clean when I returned home at 6pm so maybe Papa did teach him something good after all. And best of all.........THE PATRIOTS WON!!!!

P.S...We are expecting a snow storm tonight starting at 3am, please keep your fingers crossed for me that we get alot of snow. the weather man is saying about a foot of snow.....yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! can't wait!

NO FLOWERS PLEASE!

This is what I started seeing the day after christmas and it is now all over the florist dept, ugh! I will be sooooo busy soon (working in 2 stores) getting ready for this one day that I think is stupid, (except for the fact that it is Delaney's Birthday). After all, do you only tell someone you love them just on this day? No! you can tell them on any other day of the year and the Roses will cost $20.00 less. I think its a shame the way people get ripped off on Valentine's day. I never really disliked valentines day so much until I started working in a florist and really seen what its all about, the prices for that week on all the flowers either "double or triple " depending on the type of flower, its the one time of year that I actually do not enjoy my job. I have made it clear to Gedy many years ago..(no flowers please ) on valentine's day or even during that week, chocolates are O.K. though..hahaha. But I know Gedy feels the same way about Valentine's day as I do because he tells me every single day that ....he loves me! He doesn't need or wait for that one day to say it, so Valentine's day has no special meaning to me except I have to work alot and feel guilty knowing that people are paying a higher price for flowers, its just the way I feel although I'm sure that there are others out there who feel the same way.

A little after X-Mas Humor.........

Just thought everyone could use a little laugh so before I put all of my christmas toys away (which I do not want to do) I thought I would have a few minutes of fun that I won't get to do again for another..362 days..oh..no! so here ya go here is my singing snowman, hes a hoot!

My apt looks so empty now that all of the christmas decorations are gone, the only thing that is still up are the two 4 foot singing, flashing christmas trees that christy and cindy gave us this year, they are so cool and who knows....they might be on my next blog.....I just can't part with my x-mas stuff...lol!
